Golden Mask for make-up artists

KRYOLAN from Berlin awards the Golden Mask to make-up artists for their special commitment, key contribution to mask design and special artistic creativity.

This year the national award goes to Dennis Penkov from Berlin. Dennis Penkov is a passionate make-up artist. After having completed his education, he continued his studies and perfected his knowledge in the field of special effects. The 3D masks became his world. He was able to contribute his experience and skills to countless productions. However, he stayed modest and always asked himself, how he could improve himself. Dennis Penkov is noted for his collegiality, team spirit, artistic abilities and craftsmanship.

The international award goes to Daniel Parker, who comes from London and lives in the South of France. He is considered to be the best in the field of character make-up. He was eight years old when he got his first make-up artist equipment, which he used for school performances. Later, he moved on to the film industry and then returned back to the make-up artist trade. His passion for realistic make-up, his creativity to develop new approaches and his ability to pass on his knowledge to young make-up artist colleagues characterise Daniel Parker.

The award ceremony will be held on Saturday, 22 March 2014, at 5.00 pm at the Presentation Forum.
