Steve LaPorte - Hollywood

Steve LaPorte’s career began with his comedic circus arts studies and his work as a clown. Continuing education and much talent brought him to the movie business a few years later. Special effects and character make-up are his specialties. Pirates of the Caribbean, Terminator and Lost are some of the numerous productions for which Steve LaPorte has worked. He received the Oscar for the best make-up for Beetlejuice.
Yasushi Shimizu - Tokyo
Only a few make-up artists can apply the make-up for Kabuki, the traditional Japanese theatre consisting of song, pantomime and dance. For decades now, Yasushi Shimizu has been a renowned expert for this art. After his studies at Gakushuin University in Tokyo, he worked at the opera, for operettas and TV stations. Today, he is a much sought-after lecturer at professional schools.
Alex Box - London
Alex Box is one of the most ground-breaking and influential make-up artists of our time. After her studies at the Chelsea College of Art, her make-up went on to explore the relationship between art, science, nature and the magical. She creates looks for well-known designers and her work has featured in leading international magazines.
Morten Jacobsen & Thomas Foldberg - Copenhagen

Special effects make-up is the specialty of the two Danish make-up artists. Advertising, TV productions and theatre pieces as well as movies belong to their area of responsibility. Together they have created make-up effects for more than 120 European feature films. Among them are famous productions such as Harry Potter, Antichrist and Dancer in the Dark.
Michele Guaschino - Turin
The make-up artist for theatre, film and television is a specialist for the manufacturing of prostheses, masks, animated characters and mock-ups. Some of his customers are also industrial businesses for which he makes product models. For the first time in 2003, in cooperation with the forensic department of the police in Turin, he used the technique for facial reconstruction developed at the University of Manchester.

With his step-by-step beauty system, he magically creates impressive „before and after“ results and makes the individual beauty of his clients visible.
Bernd Uwe Staatz - Düsseldorf

Bernd Uwe Staatz leads a make-up artist atelier with wig and mask decorations for theatre, television and film productions in Germany and abroad. The theatres in Cologne, Bonn, Nice and Hamburg were stations of his career as make-up artist and chief make-up artist. Since 2005, he has been Chief Make-up Artist of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (German Opera on the Rhine) in Düsseldorf.
Stephanie Hermes - Düsseldorf
After her education, Stephanie Hermes worked as a make-up artist at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus theatre. An in-depth study of the manufacturing of traditional leather masks followed. The making of these masks influenced her further artistic career. Her leather masks are the continuation of the traditional craft. Each mask is a unique object.
